Isle of Skye considers £1-a-head tourist tax to cope with massive influx of visitors

written by Bella Palmer

A quaint Scottish island is considering introducing a tax system to ward off an influx of tourists.

The Isle of Skye became a hot-spot destination after the likes of  Kanye West and Harry Styles filmed music videos against the unspoiled back drop.

Now with tourist season fact approaching, residents are concerned with how the tiny island - famed for its rugged landscapes and tiny fishing villages - will deal with the population surging by almost 60,000 people.
